mikrocount® TPC is a plastic slide coated on both sides with TPC-agar (total plate count), which has been optimised for the growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds. The TPC-agar contains lecithin and Tween 80 to neutralise possible residues of disinfectants and preservatives based on cationic actives, which are commonly used in the food and cosmetic industries. The slide is equipped with a hinge, which simplifies complete surface contact while taking the sample.
