Milne, Spencer & Harris Dental Practice has been named schülke’s 2017 Infection Prevention and Control award winning practice.
The aim of the award is to recognise the dedication of dental practices who surpass expectations of infection prevention and control.
Alex Breitenbach, from NSK, had the pleasure of awarding Milne, Spencer & Harris Dental Practice with their winning prize. The team from Normanton were praised for ‘offering a superb service to a huge number of NHS patients, by staff who are all well informed and passionate about infection prevention.’ The award presentation took place at the 2017 BDIA Dental Showcase in Birmingham where the winning practice received their award, and a £5,000 autoclave as their main prize.
For the team at Milne, Spencer & Harris Dental Practice, teamwork is crucial for ensuring good patient care. They believe in creating a supportive environment to encourage staff development, and that good communication between colleagues upholds their high standard of patient care.
Arden House Dental and Cosmetic Clinic, and Smile Together, Truro Health Park received runners up trophies and certificates, while a highly commended award was presented to Michelle Reid of Heath Dental.
The award presentation was well attended, with each presenter emphasising the extremely high standard of applicants for this year’s competition. Afterwards, attendants were invited to a champagne reception to celebrate the achievement of the dental practices going above and beyond what is expected in IP&C.
