An update from Paul Hale, schülke UK Supply Chain Manager, on the COVID-19 pandemic and our aim to support the NHS in every way we can.

‘The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for many people, not least our NHS staff working tirelessly to care for patients. The highest standards of infection prevention and control have been at the heart of protecting both staff and patients from cross infection.

schülke has been responding to a massively increased demand for our products. We have scaled up production, particularly of our hand hygiene products and surface cleaning items like disinfectant wipes. We’ve also supplied the new Nightingale hospitals with octenisan® Wash Lotion, for use if there’s a predicted second wave of infections.

Our aim throughout has been to support the NHS in every way we can. We’ve had weekly communications with our customers, so they know when stocks will be arriving and can then plan accordingly.

We will continue to support the NHS, hospitals and dental practices throughout this pandemic and this will not stop even when, hopefully, COVID-19 is in the past.'
