thermosept® NKP is used as neutralizer during the automated reprocessing of surgical instruments after alkaline cleaning in order to avoid propagation of alkaline residues. Furthermore, it can also be used for acidic pre-cleaning, as a basic cleaner for instruments and machine interiors and as a cleaner in a manual immersion bath.
Before applying thermosept® NKP, make sure that the items to be cleaned and reprocessed are acid-resistant.
thermosept® NKP is suitable for use in all common washer/disinfectors and multichamber waher/disinfectors.
after alkaline cleaning: 0.1 - 0.2 % (1 - 2 ml/l). Dosing is performed by machine-integrated dosing pumps.
Basic cleaning of instruments and machine interiors:
- as an acidic pre-cleaner: 0.2 - 2 % (2 - 20 ml/l)
- basic cleaning of instruments and machine interiors: approx. 4 %, (40 ml/l)
- as a cleaner in a manual immersion bath: approx. 4 %, (40 ml/l)
NKP is not suitable for coloured metals, chromium plated parts and anodized aluminium. Please make sure that the items to be cleaned, the machine and the drains are acid resistant. Using demineralised water for final rinsing is recommended and improves the rinsing result. thermosept®
NKP can be used in washer/disinfectors and multi-chamber washer/disinfectors. Please note recommendations of machine and instrument manufacurers.
