NDP Med Concentrated Plus

Description:

NDP Med Concentrated Plus is a product made of N-Duopropenide. The NDP is a microbiocidal compound that causes enzyme and coenzyme inactivation that are vital for the life of all pathogen microorganisms.

The active substance is a mixture of quaternary ammonium iodophors, combined with tertiary amines and phenoxyethanol, with cationic and non-ionic surfactants with synergetic properties, clearly different from traditional quaternary ammonium compounds.

Application:

Suitable for use with endoscopes, medical and surgical material, odontologic material, surgical equipment, anaesthesiology, urology, respiratory therapy, containers, and more.

Class IIb Medical Device

1. Solution preparation: dilute the product to 2 % v/v (20 millilitres of product per litre of water). Prepare the solution diluting the product preferably in treated water (deionized). A validated volume measurer has to be used to make the dilution (dosing pump, measuring flask or tube. If the regulating pump is used to do so, make sure that the amount added results in the indicated volume. The solution must be prepared in the following order: 1st water and 2nd product, to avoid foam formation. When not used immediately, the solution has to be kept in a closed bottle or container.
2. Pre-Cleaning: clean the material correctly, eliminating organic matter by physical brushing. The use of an enzymatic detergent or soapy solution is recommended, brushing the external and internal surfaces. The objective is to eliminate organic matter residue to facilitate the disinfectant action. Vesismin recommends the use of Enzym Med due to its high quality and compatibility with NDP Med Concentrated Plus.
3. Disinfection: once cleaned, submerge the material in the product solution previously prepared. The immersion must be made so that all the material surfaces are in contact with the disinfectant solution. Let it act for 25 minutes (2% solution) totally immersed. Do not reuse the disinfectant solution more than 20 uses or immersions.
4. Rinsing: a pressure rinse is recommended for materials with internal channels. The use of sanitary water is recommended to avoid subsequent re-contamination of the instrument.
5. Drying: dry it aseptically with pressurized air, ensuring it reaches the internal channels of the material to prevent recontamination.

Composition:

22,76% N-Duopropenide, 10% Tertiary amine: Bis(3-aminopropyl) dodecylamine, 5% Phenoxyethanol, qsf 100% fatty alcohols, excipients to enhance microbicidal effectiveness, water.

• State at room Temperature: Liquid in amber colour – transparent yellow.
• pH (100% water): 7 – 9 (20ºC).
• Solubility in water: 100% Soluble.
• Density: 1.010 – 1.050 g/cc (20ºC).
• Viscosity: 70 – 120 cP (20ºC).
• Boiling point: Approximately 95ºC.
• Flammability: Non flammable.
• Surface tension: 23 din/cm (dilution 1/1000 of TAI). Good wettability of materials and adherence to surfaces.
• Interaction with other materials: The working solutions (use concentration 2%) are not corrosive and do not alter tested metals (AISI 316 stainless steel, aluminium, polypropylene, polystyrene and silicon). The product is incompatible with copper alloys such as brass.
• Stability: active product is stable, non-reactive. Sunlight does not affect product efficacy. The product must be closed once open for the first time to avoid possible contaminations. Once opened, use in six weeks. Store only in the original container. Keep between 10°C and 30°C. Do not reuse the disinfectant solution more than 20 times or immersions.
