Fields of Application

thermosept® RKF is suitable for reprocessing surgical and microsurgical instruments, rigid endoscopes, anaesthetic accessories, shoes for the operating theatre, baby bottles and laboratory accessories made from stainless steel, glass, ceramic and plastics. When reprocessing anodised aluminium, please make sure the item to be cleaned is alkaline-resistant or use the neutral thermosept® RKN-zym or the mildly alkaline cleaner thermosept® X-tra. The product is suitable for use in washer/disinfectors and multi-chamber washer/disinfectors.

Instructions for use

Dosage: 0.3 - 1 % (i.e. 3 - 10 ml/l) approx. 55 °C - 60 °C; 3 - 10 min. Dosing is performed by machine-integrated dosing pumps. Avoid underdosage of thermosept® RKF in order to prevent pitting corrosion. After alkaline cleaning, rinsing with neutralizer thermosept® NKZ is recommended in order to prevent propagation of alkaline residues. For alkaline sensitive goods use thermosept® RKN-zym or thermosept® X-tra. The use of demineralised water for the cleaning step and final rinsing is recommended. Composition: Labelling according to Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004:< 5 % phosphonate. Contains Potassium hydroxide. Other ingredients: corrosion inhibitors.
