Cleaning and disinfection of flexible and rigid endoscopes, surgical instruments, anaesthesia equipment and breathing masks.
gigasept® AF forte is a concentrated product and is diluted with cold water to the desired working concentration.
Reprocess flexible endoscopes with an application concentration of no more than 2%!
Dosage:
Depending on the degree of effectiveness 0.5 % - 5 %.
Application example:
1 litre of a 5 % working solution corresponds to 950 ml of water and 50 ml of gigasept® AF forte.
Immerse instruments to be reprocessed into the gigasept® AF forte solution immediately after use. Make sure that all surfaces are completed wetted and allow them to soak in the solution. Submerge instruments with a hollow body such that the air can fully escape from the lumen. After use, thoroughly rinse/flush the instruments with water that has at least drinking water quality, or better yet with sterile distilled or demineralised water, to remove any residues of the working solution.
Do not exceed indicated contact times and concentrations. Please note the treatment recommendations provided by the instrument manufacturers. National regulations may require that cleaning and disinfection are carried out in two separate process steps. Not suitable for the final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices!
Standing time: A standing time of 7 days applies if the working solution is only used for the disinfection of previously cleaned instruments. If the working solution is used for cleaning, national regulations may limit the timespan during which the solution may be used.

For professional use only. Any serious incidents related to the product are to be reported to the manufacturer and competent authority. Do not use the product after the shelf-life has expired. Keep container tightly closed. Protect from frost, heat and sunlight. Store in the original container. When using 5% stock solutions, accidental contact with the eyes can result in irritation of the mucosa. Due to the choice of highly effective ingredients effects of turbidity (opalescence) might appear at the recommended use concentrations. These effects are product specific and do not limit the efficacy of the product. Besides manual reprocessing gigasept® AF forte is also suitable for semi-automated processes at room temperature.
Interactions:
As a general rule, do not mix gigasept® AF forte with other products. If gigasept® AF forte comes into contact with aldehyde-containing working solutions, precipitation and irreversible discolouration may occur.
