Nosocomial infections are a major challenge for healthcare systems worldwide. The Robert Koch Institute estimates 400,000 - 600,000 nosocomial infections per year in Germany1. The safe disinfection of surfaces and equipment is therefore an essential part of infection prevention in hospitals, care facilities and doctors' surgeries.
