Healthy through fall season! How do I protect myself from infection?
23. Sep 2021
Autumn is here. For many, autumn is the most beautiful season of the year, when the sun makes the colorful canopy of leaves glow, you sit down in front of the fireplace with a hot cup of tea and make chestnut animals out of toothpicks with the kids. But autumn is also known for runny noses, cold teas and baths, and pathogens that give us a good cold year after year.
How can I protect myself from corona, influenza and co.?
In addition to a strong and healthy immune system, compliance with general hygiene measures is particularly important to successfully ward off pathogens and protect against infection.
Avoid shaking hands
Avoid handshakes and physical contact, such as hugs, especially with people who are ill.
Keep your distance and avoid crowds
Keep at least enough distance, especially from people who have a fever, cough, or other symptoms of illness.
Regular & good hand hygiene
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water. Alcohol-based hand disinfectants are suitable for when you are on the go. Disinfect your hands in 6-steps to avoid wetting gaps.
Efficacy information must be on the product label. Hand disinfectants with efficacy against coronaviruses, such as SARS-CoV-2, for example, have at least the claim limited virucidal / effective against enveloped viruses. High-quality disinfectants also always contain alcohol (ethanol, 1- or 2-propanol) and additional care substances, such as dexpanthenol or vitamin E, to effectively protect and care for the skin when used frequently.
