Today, on International Hand Hygiene Day, the focus is on protection against infection and the responsibility we all bear.
Our motto for 2025: "Within your reach". Why? It's simple: studies [1] show that we are more likely to use disinfectants if they are clearly visible and within easy reach. The WHO recommends placing dispensers at "an arm's length" [2] so they become a matter of course in our everyday lives.
The simple truth: the easier they are to access, the more often they are disinfected. So let's work together to create the conditions that make hand hygiene as easy as possible - not just today, but every day.
Get involved! Set an example for more hygiene and infection protection today. And remember: the nearest disinfectant dispenser is only an arm's length away.
You can find all the important facts about the accessibility of disinfectant dispensers in the slideshow!
