Since 2019, the day of action, originally initiated by the German Patient Safety Action Alliance (APS), has been proclaimed annually by the WHO.
This year, the focus is on patient participation within healthcare, under the slogan:
"Strengthening the voice of patients"
Why? Statistically, almost 29 million cases of harm in healthcare worldwide every year are due to human error and are therefore preventable.1 Therefore, on the one hand, patients are called upon to actively participate in their treatment, for example by expressing concerns, asking questions or giving their opinion. On the other hand, medical staff are called upon to incorporate the patient's voice more strongly. The common goal is to further improve the safety and well-being of patients.
schülke is proud to be able to contribute to the safety and health of patients worldwide. Our products and solutions help hospitals and medical facilities maintain optimal hygiene standards to protect the health and well-being of patients.
We work closely with medical staff and professionals to develop innovative solutions to prevent infections and ensure safe patient care.
Patient safety is our top priority at schülke!
