Fields of Application
octenisept® Gel is used for acute skin injuries such as grazes, cuts and minor burns, e.g. sunburn. The special formula of octenisept® Gel provides the wound with optimal moisture and creates an ideal wound healing environment to promote and accelerate the natural healing process and reduce scarring. It forms a protective layer as a physical barrier that protects the wound from external influences and prevents the penetration of germs. Germs are already inactivated in the gel. In this way, octenisept® Gel protects against infections and inflammation. The cooling effect alleviates acute itching and pain. octenisept® Gel is colourless and does not sting or hurt when applied.

Tissue tolerability and biocompatibility of octenisept® gel
Non-irritating, non-sensitising, pain-free application, without tissue toxicity, no impairment of granulation or epithelialisation. The good tolerability of Octenidine has been confirmed by clinical experience over many years and by clinical studies also on chronic wounds.
Instructions for use
It is recommended to disinfect the wound beforehand with a wound disinfectant. Cover the skin or wound with a thin layer of gel. Cover with a bandage or plaster if necessary. Apply the gel 1 to 2 times a day until the wound has healed completely. For hygiene reasons, the tip of the gel tube must not touch the wound or other surfaces. Close the tube after use.

None observed to date.
Contraindications
Do not use octenisept® Gel continuously for longer than 2 weeks without medical supervision. If the wound worsens, consult a doctor. As allergies can never be ruled out, octenisept® Gel should not be used if you have known allergies or suspect you may be allergic to any of the ingredients. If in doubt, consult your doctor. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only use this product after consulting a doctor. Suitable for children aged 4 weeks and older. For external use only. To prevent possible tissue damage, octenisept® gel must not be applied on cartilage, in the ear and nose and must not be allowed to enter the eye.
